Vanessa is a Marin-based landscape designer with a background in environmental science and sustainable land management. Before founding her design practice, she worked in international water infrastructure. Her designs combine artistic vision with ecological function, emphasizing low-water, low-maintenance landscapes that reflect both the architecture and the client. Vanessa holds a Master’s in Environmental Science and an A.A. in Landscape Architecture. She is a qualified Water Efficient Landscaper & Recipient of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) WaterSense® label.

At Foliava LLC, we create unique, sustainable outdoor spaces tailored to your vision. Based in Mill Valley, California, we focus on crafting gardens that truly reflect their owners. We take a collaborative approach, working closely with you to capture your unique style in your plans and guide you through budgeting, scheduling, and finding the perfect contractors for installation.
